Guido's quilt has a bright orange snake
embellished with jumbo rickrack. The writing is made with baby
rickrack and says "S is for Smile, Snake, Secchiaroli".
The orange batik fabric has a
diamond pattern that reminded me of snake skin. The blue
background fabric has little flecks of the same orange. The label says:
This baby quilt was designed and stitched especially for Guido Michael
Secchiaroli born June 4, 2002 in New Haven, Connecticut by his maternal
great aunt, Martha Presberg Supnik in Carlisle, Massachusetts. I
chose an orange snake because your parents were raising beautiful corn
snakes before they began raising their beautiful baby boy. |
