This Matryoshka wall hanging was hand embroidered, machine appliquéd, and machine quilted especially for Sophia Micheline Reid born 21 June 2008 by her cousin in honor of her mother’s childhood in St. Petersburg, Russia. My original pattern was inspired by a doll pattern published by Martie Sandel in 1978. |

This circus wall-hanging was made especially for my cousin Roland Anthony Plante born July 6, 2009. The animal, clown, and tent patterns were copied from your nursery curtain fabric, traced onto white cotton squares, and taken to the baby shower on June 13, 2009. Each guest colored a square with regular Crayola crayons and signed their block. The setting was taken from the book “Twist ‘n Turn” by Sharyn Craig. It is machine pieced and hand quilted with cotton fabric and batting. |
